Keith Lee officially made his debut on this week’s AEW Dynamite show. The ex-WWE superstar and former NXT and NXT North American Champ was released by the WWE back in November 2021. As with all WWE releases, we all counted down the 90-day “No Compete” clause that most, if not all, WWE superstars are contractually obligated to ride out before appearing on a different brand. Many speculated that Braun Strowman would be walking through what AEW called, “the forbidden door,” while others expected to see Shane McMahon. Shane was also recently released from the WWE after the Royal Rumble PPV event.
Lee’s match first AEW match was with Isiah Kassidy. After plowing through Isiah and tossing him through the air, Keith has earned himself a spot in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match at the Revolution pay-per-view in March.
Shortly after his initial release from the WWE, Keith Lee made a statement, “Thank you for all the positivity that has been dropped on me the past few days as well as the birthday wishes. I love you. Worry not. We are not done. We work. #BaskInMyGlory #iAmLimitless“
